Η Λετονή συγγραφέας και δημιουργός animation Anete Melece: Μια μοναδική συνάντηση με τη φιλοσοφία του ‘Read For Real’ στην Ελλάδα!
Στο πλαίσιο της European Author’s Day του ευρωπαϊκού προγράμματος Read For Real, η Λετονή συγγραφέας, εικονογράφος και δημιουργός animation Anete Melece θα βρίσκεται στην Ελλάδα στις 8 και 9 Δεκεμβρίου 2025. Η Anete Melece έχει τιμηθεί με σημαντικές διεθνείς διακρίσεις (Βραβείο Καλύτερου Animation στα Ελβετικά Κινηματογραφικά Βραβεία, παρουσία στη Διεθνή Έκθεση Παιδικού Βιβλίου της Μπολόνια
Η Anete Melece στην Ελλάδα για τον European Author’s day
Στο πλαίσιο της ημέρας αφιερωμένης σε Ευρωπαίους συγγραφείς, που διοργανώνεται από το πρόγραμμα Read For Real, η Λετονή συγγραφέας και εικονογράφος Anete Melece θα επισκεφθεί την Ελλάδα στις 8 και 9 Δεκεμβρίου 2025. Η Anete έχει αποσπάσει πολλές διεθνείς διακρίσεις, όπως το Βραβείο Καλύτερης Ταινίας Animation στα Ελβετικά Κινηματογραφικά Βραβεία και συμμετοχές στη Διεθνή Έκθεση Παιδικού Βιβλίου της Μπολόνια, καθώς επίσης είναι υποψήφια για το βραβείο Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. Αυτή τη στιγμή διαμένει και εργάζεται στη Ζυρίχη.
Με αφορμή τα έργα της “The Kiosk” (Το Περίπτερο) καθώς και “Stella’s stolen sleep” (Ποιος έκλεψε τον ύπνο της Στέλλας;), που έχουν μεταφραστεί στα ελληνικά από τις εκδόσεις Σιέλ, η δημιουργός θα έχει την ευκαιρία να επισκεφθεί σχολεία, βιβλιοθήκες και βιβλιοπωλεία στην Αττική. Μέσω δραστηριοτήτων που προάγουν τη διάδραση και συζητήσεις με τους μαθητές, θα ενθαρρύνει την καλλιτεχνική έκφραση των παιδιών πριν αλλά και μετά τη συνάντηση.

Βιογραφικό της Anete Melece
The Latvian creator anete Melece is an illustrator,animation creator and author. Born in 1983, she studied Visual Dialog at the Academy of Arts in Latvia and at the School of Design and Art in Riga before continuing her postgraduate studies in Animation at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Lucerne in Switzerland.Currently living and working in Zurich.
The project that brought her to prominence was “The Kiosk”, which began as a short film during her master’s thesis back in 2013. It has received over twenty awards from international festivals; notably winning Best Animation Award at the Swiss Film Awards in 2014.In a notable transition for her career, she adapted this narrative into a children’s illustrated book released in English that earned her the Jānis Baltvilks Prize and featured on dPICTUS’s global list of top one hundred unpublished illustrated books that year.
Apart from “The Kiosk”, which is known by its Greek title “Ταξίδια με το Περίπτερο”, Anete has illustrated numerous other children’s titles — some are hers like “Ποιος έκλεψε τον ύπνο της Στέλλας;”, while others include works from different authors such as “Θέλω να αποφασίζω” by Ingrid Olsson or “Vala Balss” alongside “Sveiks Svali” by Lauris Gundars among others. Her creations have been showcased at Bologna Children’s Book fair while she was nominated for the esteemed Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award back in 2021.
#ReadForReal Initiative
The initiative #ReadForReal represents an international program orchestrated by seven organizations across five countries aimed at celebrating literature and creativity annually between November 11th to December 12th. Cross-border tours featuring authors will bring together writers with readers spanning forty-three nations involved within the Creative Europe framework; thus far twenty-seven countries actively participate preparing for this grand pan-European party.
Together with initiatives like these taking place throughout Europe is ELIVIP acting as Greece’s national hub-platform supporting this notable program.
