Το φεστιβάλ σύγχρονου χορού της Στέγης,γνωστό ως ODD – Onassis Dance Days,θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 5 έως τις 8 Φεβρουαρίου σε όλες τις σκηνές του Ιδρύματος Ωνάση. Οι παραστάσεις και η βιντεοεγκατάσταση που περιλαμβάνονται προσφέρουν μια μοναδική εμπειρία μεταμόρφωσης: όπου το σώμα γίνεται φορέας μνήμης και προάγει νέες σχέσεις.

This year’s festival puts a spotlight on the concepts of “the familiar and the unfamiliar,” addressing themes of origin, family ties, acquaintances and those we consider kin by choice or circumstance. How does choreographic identity evolve through relationships based on blood ties, memory or imagination? What new forms of “kinship” emerge in a landscape where connections are increasingly fluid? Can choreography serve as a meeting ground for relatives connected by bloodlines, choices or even surprises?

An essential highlight this year is the international co-production from the Onassis Foundation titled “N Ô T” by Portuguese choreographer Marlene Monteiro Freitas. This piece debuted at the Avignon Festival in 2025 and has sparked notable conversation due to its unconventional ritualistic approach that dismantles form while reconstructing shared experiences through the raw energy of its eight performers. It is indeed an enigmatic tribute to freedom that seeks not to explain but merely to evoke impressions shaped like fragments—much like dreams do.

apart from various performances this year are works stemming from two previous Onassis AiR Fellows’ research projects: “F Á E” by Efthymios Moschopoulos and “( REST IN) BLUE” by katerina foti. These solo pieces delve into explosive physical expressions coupled with contemporary neo-paganism that explore self-ethnography realms driven by embodied memories and collective visions—all while transforming the body into a narrative space where kinship can be redefined.

The esteemed fellow Effy Goussi will present her video installation “Tectonic Riders,” which premiered at Pedion Areos during Plásmata 3 exhibition—a trans-shamanic homage filmed in an apocalyptic landscape featuring young women resembling Amazons reenacting bull sacrifice rituals intended to revitalize arid lands.

A final returnee is Elena Antoniou from Cyprus who follows up her previous work LANDSCAPE with her latest piece titled “ODE”: a duet celebrating femininity’s nuances alongside musical artist Maria Spivak—their performance transforms movement into sound symbolizing acts of liberation where togetherness conveys no solitude at all.
