Regarding the new files discovered on the witness’s mobile phone from the accident site, she added:

“The mere fact that they refuse to grant us access to examine these files found on the mobile phone clearly demonstrates their fear and fully justifies why the videos were systematically erased from the beginning. As I’ve said before, this trial should never have commenced, because the videos should have been available.

As a citizen, I must say that this shameful spectacle confirms that the institution of justice no longer exists. Let everyone learn this. All our fellow citizens. The institution of justice has truly been completely undermined.

Inside, there are frightened people, intimidated. Are they being blackmailed? What else could be happening, if they cannot do their job? They open the penal code, searching for loopholes to justify the unjustifiable, and they cannot.

We are heading into a trial that is already flawed, because a proper investigation was not conducted by Mr. Bakaimis, who is protected by his colleagues within this very building, where the trial is supposedly set to begin to uncover the truth.

Therefore, no truth will be found from Monday in the Great Trial. The cover-up will continue, exactly as has been the tradition in this building.

I, as a citizen, believe that there is an organization here where everyone is covering up for each other, and consequently, I truly think that the trial absolutely must move away from the Larissa courthouse and go somewhere else, so we have a better chance of finding the truth for our children,” noted Maria Karystianou, as reported by onlarissa.gr.

Tempi: What Konstantopoulou said about the trial’s adjournment

For her part, Zoi Konstantopoulou, commented on the trial’s adjournment, stating among other things: “We demand the initiation of an immediate criminal process against the involved judges, prosecutors, and employees, and we will take all legal actions.”

“Since this morning, from 9 am for 3 hours, relatives, lawyers, parents, people who lost their loved ones, who had their loved ones killed, have encountered a rigged investigation, and now they are preparing a rigged trial for next Monday. They are requesting the evidence seized by the court on March 6th, 7th, and 9th, which documents the first hours after the train collision.

Evidence that we revealed exists, because the investigator buried it and the experts kept it hidden.

For 9 days, all proceedings have been halted due to a staged or genuine collapse on the bench of the judge responsible for granting copies of this evidence, Ms. Zachariadi. We will speak names here. The prosecutor of the bench, Ms. Christoforakou, stated today that she does not know what her colleague has. The secretary of the bench stated that she does not know what her colleague has. The head of the Court of First Instance, Mrs. Mylonas, is also ill today. To be precise, her husband is ill, and she cannot come to the Court of First Instance she presides over, being paid by the Greek people. The prosecutor, Ms. Papaioannou, the one who obstructed exhumations from October until today, is also somewhere, not at her post.

We discovered that the relatives were being followed by an undercover security agent, who was listening and eavesdropping on our conversations and what we were saying in prosecutor’s and judicial offices when we went to obtain copies of the evidence.

I want to declare with all the intensity of my soul that we are facing an immediate, criminal, and punishable behavior by judicial and prosecutorial officials, who from Tuesday, March 10th, until today, are preventing parents, relatives, and lawyers from accessing the seized evidence.

Specifically, the evidence that documents everything the government wanted to hide.

We are facing punishable acts for which lawsuits will be filed now by the relatives, who are united in this very difficult battle and need the support of the entire society against a state within a state that goes as far as to monitor them, sends security agents to monitor relatives, and they do not declare their identities, nor how they are called, or by what order they are there, while at the same time withholding evidence and informing by phone.

This evidence we are requesting is of exceptional importance, and no trial can take place, nor of course the trial on Monday, let everyone know this and you understand it, without this evidence and many other things that have been hidden. Finally, as a lawyer, I want to state my conviction that we have blackmailed judges.”

Regarding the president of the court, Zoi Konstantopoulou stated: “We saw a president today trembling before us and making phone calls in front of us, the head of the service. Colleagues and relatives saw last Tuesday another president collapse crying on the bench, and we know that on March 10th, the president of the Union of Judges and Prosecutors, Mr. Christophoros Sevastidis, was here.

He who is very prolific in press releases regarding the Tempi crime, attacking us, the relatives, the lawyers, anyone who questions the proceedings here, and defending corrupt judges and prosecutors and defending punishable acts.

What did Mr. Sevastidis come here to do on March 10th?

Why did the president collapse on the bench and has disappeared? What happened to the president that neither the prosecutor, nor the secretary, nor anyone knows, and which justifies sick leave for an unknown reason and unknown illness until March 30th?

Our decision and conviction is that only the struggle of those who lost their people, of those who had their people killed, only this struggle can bring the truth. We demand the initiation of an immediate criminal process against the involved judges, prosecutors, and employees, and we will take all legal actions.”
